During the 9th European Conference in Kent, UK in November 2005, the participants concluded that the transfer of knowledge about several issues such as resettlement and the European standard for reception are very important. In 2006 a new project was initiated, Durable Solutions in Practice. The European ARGO fund is financing the project.

Aim of the project Durable Solutions is to share knowledge and experiences on issues of Invited Refugees. COA has developed a good working practice on selection, training, reception and support of invited refugees during the last years. The reception organisations of Belgium, The Czech Republic and Romania will ' look and learn' during the project Durable Solutions in Practice.

There will be a general introduction in the Netherlands in June 2007. Later, staff workers of the Czech and Belgian organisations will accompany Dutch staff on their missions for invited refugees. COA is leading the project. Project partners are Fedasil (Belgium) and OAMP, Ministry of Interior (Czech Republic).
