The European Commission aims to achieve a common asylum procedure, a uniform asylum status and more shared basic conditions for asylum reception for all EU-member states.

With the project Reception Expert Teams (RET) the Dutch Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum seekers (COA) initiates the necessary co operation between policymakers of European reception organisations. RET aims to come to shared methodology descriptions on:

Accommodation
Staff capacity
Cooperation with chain partners and interest groups, NGOs and social partners
Integration
Vulnerable groups

Expert teams consisting of European policymakers will meet at two seminars for each theme. The ENARO exchange programmes of Spring & Fall 2010 as well as Spring 2011 will provide field information.

The publication of the methodology descriptions will be presented at a Closing Conference in December 2011. This publication is owned by COA and the ENARO network.

The RET project started in the 2nd half of 2009, is funded by the European Refugee Fund (ERF) and supported by ENARO partners Norway, Belgium, Ireland and Spain.
